We want to hear what you think about options to expand the bus lanes on Rainier Ave S
 Greetings,
We’re starting Phase 2 of the Rainier Ave S Bus Lanes Project! In partnership with King County Metro, we’re evaluating options to extend the northbound bus lane on Rainier Ave S from S Walden St to S Grand St. This change will save people riding the bus about 5 minutes during weekday mornings.
We want your feedback on two options
Both options have 1 continuous northbound bus lane and 1 general travel lane. One option removes the center turn lane and maintains 2 northbound travel lanes between S Grand St to S College St.
There are benefits and considerations with each option, and we want to hear what you think about them. Visit our project webpage for more information.
Take our survey to tell us which option you prefer, how you travel on Rainier Ave S, and how we can improve your experience taking the bus. The survey will be open until November 13. The survey is available in multiple languages.
To learn more about Phase 1, visit our project webpage, or read our blog.
Join our virtual public meeting
We are hosting a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, October 25, from 5:30 to 7 PM. At the meeting we will review the options we’re evaluating for Phase 2 and discuss benefits and considerations for each. We’ll also answer your questions and listen to your feedback. Mark your calendars, and we’ll share a link to join the meeting in advance. We’ll also post the link to our webpage.
If you need free interpretation services for the meeting, please email us at TransitLanes@seattle.gov
Talk with us at a community event
