Compliance Portal Live for 2021 Reporting

The City of Seattle has launched the Seattle Energy Benchmarking Compliance Portal to check compliance for 2021 Energy Benchmarking reports due July 1, 2022.

Once you have completed all the required steps to make annual updates and submit your 2021 benchmark report or benchmark a building for the first time, you can check the compliance status on the online portal. To check your compliance status you will need the OSE Building ID or Portfolio Manager User Name.

Not Compliant Status

If the building is "Not Compliant" the reason is listed under the Issue column. Common reasons for non-compliance are:

  • The benchmarking data in Portfolio Manager has not been shared with City of Seattle.
  • The benchmarking data in Portfolio Manager shared with City of Seattle is missing complete energy data for 2021.
  • The benchmarking data in Portfolio Manager shared with City of Seattle has been flagged for possible energy or building details errors and requires account verification.

Follow the directions in the Next Steps column to correct the issue. The Compliance Resources section at the top right of the portal provides guidance on how to address common issues in Portfolio Manager.

Compliant Status

If the building is "Compliant", your benchmarking report is complete, and you are all set for 2021 reporting. You'll need to report again next year so save your Portfolio Manager User Name and password. In the meantime, check out your building’s performance. Each building report includes data from 2015-2020 highlighting energy use trends.

Can’t find your building in the portal?

Tip: when searching by User Name you will only see buildings that have successfully shared their Portfolio Manager account with City of Seattle Annual Reporting. If you do not see all of your buildings required to report when searching by User Name it is likely you have not completed the benchmarking process from start to finish.

If you have recently purchased or taken over management of a building, or are no longer responsible for benchmarking the building in your Portfolio Manager account, let us know and we will update our records.
