DEEL Distributes Thousands of COVID-19 Safety Supplies to Early Learning and Child Care Providers
OneSeattle means working together to help keep classrooms safe. DEEL continues to support early learning and child care providers with COVID-19 safety supplies needed to minimize the risk of COVID-19 in early learning environments.
In January and February, DEEL distributed over 25K masks and 2.5K rapid COVID-19 test kits to DEEL's partner child care and early learning providers! Thank you to our partners at Washington State Department of Health, Public Health-Seattle King County, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, Seattle Finance and Administrative Services, Seattle Office of Emergency Management, and Tzu Chi USA for generously donating these supplies.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends COVID-19 vaccination to help protect against COVID-19 and help to prevent severe illness, hospitalization, and death. COVID-19 vaccines are safe, effective and free. Eighty-one percent of Seattle Public Schools (SPS) students have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine and 74% are fully vaccinated.

Coming Soon:
In partnership with Public Health-Seattle King County, DEEL is creating a Handbook for Health Heroes comic book! The pandemic has changed a lot about the way we live and has left many of us with lots of questions – especially about COVID-19 vaccines for kids. This comic book will answer some of the most common questions families have about vaccines and will be available later this spring.
DEEL will share the Handbook for Health Heroes in a future newsletter when it becomes available.
