2022 Seattle Workplace Poster Heading Your Way

2022 Workplace Poster

Every business with a Seattle business license will be receiving a copy of the 2022 Workplace poster in the mail over the next few days. Effective January 1, 2022:

  • The 2022 minimum wage for large employers (501 or more employees) is $17.27/Hour.
  • The 2022 minimum wage for small employers (500 or fewer employees) is $17.27/Hour.

Small employers can meet this requirement in two ways:

1) pay an hourly rate of at least $17.27; or

2) pay an hourly minimum wage of at least $15.75 and make up the balance with employees' tips or in  payments toward an employee's qualifying medical benefits plan (up to $1.52/hour).

The minimum wage applies to all employees working in Seattle regardless of workers’ immigration status. The workplace poster must be displayed in a visible area and in the language(s) spoken by employees.

Copies of the workplace poster (in English) are currently available for download at the OLS Website. Posters translated into 19 other languages are available online at the OLS Languages webpage here.
