Plastic Bags and Plastic Wrap No Longer Allowed in Recycling: Beginning January 1, 2020, plastic bags and plastic wrap will no longer be accepted in curbside recycling bins. (more)

Free Extra Yard Waste Pickup in November: Seattle Public Utilities provides free extra yard waste pick up for household customers in November. Just set out your extra yard waste next to your food and yard waste cart on your collection day. (more)

The Sea Mar Museum of Chicano/a/Latino/a Culture in South Park illuminates the struggles and contributions of Mexican Americans in WA.

S Rose St Sidewalk Survey: This project will connect people walking and biking between the Rainier Valley Neighborhood Greenway and the planned 4-way traffic signal at Rainier Ave S & S Rose St. Seattle Department of Transportation is collecting input on 2 potential designs for the block and they’d like to hear from project neighbors. Artists Selected to Create New Temporary Artworks for SPU Ship Canal Water Quality Project: FLOW 2020 is a project designed to enliven temporary walls and fences surrounding construction sites that are part of the Ship Canal Water Quality Project. It will feature temporary and site-specific artwork in four different locations (Ballard, East Ballard, Fremont, and Wallingford) and change every six months. (more)
