Hello Friends and Partners -

It felt like a really long winter but spring is finally here and it’s time to get outside! I encourage you to celebrate Earth Month by exploring part of Seattle that you haven’t visited before. Did you know that our great city has over 120 miles of trails and greenbelts? Bet you’ll feel better if you take a walk along one of them the next time you have chance. Our work fighting to advance environmental justice and climate action can be really challenging, spending time in nature is rejuvenating for our spirits and our bodies. As always, thank you for being our partner in this work.

The power of concerned Americans coming together to make change continues to grow and is shining a light on topics--such as racial and gender equity--that were issues long before the presidential election. Momentum for climate action grew significantly last year and shows no sign of dropping off, despite the federal government's attempts to derail it. I'm thrilled to be serving under a Mayor who believes in science and is committed to Seattle's leadership role on climate.
