Sammamish Walks - Saturday August 25!
Beaver Lake Preserve
Join Parks Commissioner Brad Conner and Audubon member Janice King on a 1.2-mile walk through one of our least-visited city parks. Spanning both sides of Beaver Lake Drive, this 67-acre forest, with mature trees and 1600 feet of Beaver Lake shoreline, is home to a variety of wildlife, including wood ducks, barred owls and the northern red-legged frog.
All walks start at 10 AM and last for 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
Walks are led by volunteers - wildlife experts, naturalists, photographers, parks commissioners and others - all of them knowledgeable and eenthusiastic about our regional parks and trails.
Bring your cameras or binoculars but leave your dogs at home as we will be focusing on plants and wildlife.
