It's important to feel safe in your home and community. If you suspect suspicious activity or you have been the victim of a crime, please call 9-1-1 first.
Please click on the image to view the Home Safety Tips video with Sammamish Police Officer Matt Martin.
We encourage all residents to take steps to help prevent a crime:
✔️ Make your home look occupied by leaving a light on ✔️ Keep your garage door closed and locked ✔️ Consider installing a security camera and alarm system ✔️ Don't allow daily deliveries of mail or newspapers build up while you are away -- arrange with the Post Office to hold your mail, or arrange for a friend or neighbor to take them regularly ✔️ Don't share your vacation plans on social media ✔️ Don’t leave valuables in your vehicles ✔️ Make sure to lock your vehicle ✔️ Don’t leave your vehicle idling unoccupied

The City of Sammamish has proclaimed the month of February as a month to recognize and honor Black History.
This year's national theme is Black Health and Wellness, which pays homage to medical scholars and health care providers. The theme is especially timely as we enter the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has disproportionately affected minority communities.
The City’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion page will be updated throughout the month with events hosted by the Northwest African American Museum and informative resources by King County Libraries.
