Cone Zone

These road work projects are scheduled in Sammamish for the week of October 3 - 9.

SCHEDULES MAY CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER AND/OR EQUIPMENT AVAILABILITY.

Construction Hours are 7am to 8pm Monday - Friday, 9am to 6pm on Saturdays, and no work on Sundays and holidays.

Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Improvements (Phase 2)

ITS Phase 2 Project will continue construction along SR-202 from Sahalee Way NE through 244th Ave NE. Contractor will be working with trench, conduits, and vaults and will begin installing aerial spans and overhead fiber optic cables. Construction hours will take place Monday-Friday nights from 8pm to 5am. Expect single-lane closures and traffic control with flaggers.

SE 4th Street: Finishing Up!

On SE 4th St., Most of the work has been completed.  Crews are working on the final touches; property restorations; fences; minor adjustments; clean up, etc. While the impacts to traffic are much less now, construction equipment will be moving up and down the roadway and there will be minor traffic impacts.  At times flaggers will be controlling traffic to get vehicles around the work. Typical work hours are 7:00am to 5:00pm.  During non-work hours, traffic will be traveling in normal lanes.  Please be cautious as you travel through the corridor and keep an eye out for construction crews as they work to finish up this great community asset.

Ditch & Drainage Maintenance

Due to the recent heavy rain, hydroseeding was delayed to early October. Once finished, this will complete the ditch work. Working hours are during normal construction hours.

King County

Pavement Marking

King County will continue pavement marking work citywide. Work will progress depending on the weather. Working hours are mostly during daytime normal construction hours (7am – 8pm). Remaining work includes thermoplastic marking and installation of raised pavement markings (RPMs). Pavement striping is a moving operation; please be alert and maintain your distance from striping vehicles.

2020 Pavement Program - Overlay

Autumn Wind/236th Ave NE

Crews will finish striping and utility adjustments.  Work hours are 7:00am and 5:00pm with only minor traffic delays expected.

220th Pl NE (Heritage Hills)

Crews will finish striping and utility adjustments. Work hours are 7:00am and 5:00pm with only minor traffic delays expected.

Curb Ramp Retrofit Project

Crews will finish working on curb ramps and sidewalk along SE 24th Way if weather permits. Crews will begin mobilizing to Autumn Wind / 236th Ave NE later in the week. Minor traffic delays are anticipated.  Typical work hours are between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.

SE 43rd Way and Providence Point Signal

This is a City of Issaquah project. To sign up for project updates and traffic alerts, please visit

https://issaquahwa.gov/3130/SE-43rd-Way-Signal.

Issaquah-Fall City Road (IFCR)

Issaquah-Fall City Road remains closed for construction. Local access will be maintained during the closure. The closure between 247th Place SE and Klahanie Dr. SE is still on schedule to last through the end of December 2020

  1. Construction of the bridge is underway and on schedule to complete in December.  The contractor is continuing to work on the bridge understructure by installing the concrete diaphragms between the beams (Small wall connections).
  2. Construction of the retaining walls and bridge approaches on the east and west side of the bridge is currently being built.
  3. Between 242nd and 247th Ave. SE, traffic remains on the south side of the roadway. Work continues along the north half of the roadway in this area. The contractor is installing the concrete curb and sidewalk along the north side and placing concrete in the median islands.  The contractor will also continue to work at the intersection of 247th Ave. SE near the middle school and 242nd Ave SE. The work is weather dependent; sunny days next week should allow the asphalt pavement to be done. There will be more construction traffic through the site as a result.

Please note that during peak delays, using the project detour route, Issaquah Beaver Lake Road to Issaquah Pine Lake Road, may result in shorter drive times. For more information and project updates, please visit the project portal on Connect Sammamish. Please remember to obey all the stop signs and speed limits in the area.

Daytime Project work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
