SE 4th Street: Finishing Up!

On SE 4th St., Most of the work has been completed.  Crews are working on the final touches; property restorations; fences; minor adjustments; clean up, etc. While the impacts to traffic are much less now, construction equipment will be moving up and down the roadway and there will be minor traffic impacts.  At times flaggers will be controlling traffic to get vehicles around the work. Typical work hours are 7:00am to 5:00pm.  During non-work hours, traffic will be traveling in normal lanes.  Please be cautious as you travel through the corridor and keep an eye out for construction crews as they work to finish up this great community asset.

Issaquah-Fall City Road (IFCR)

Issaquah-Fall City Road remains closed for construction. Local access will be maintained during the closure. The closure between 247th Place SE and Klahanie Dr. SE is still on schedule to last through the end of December 2020

  1. Construction of the bridge is underway and on schedule to complete in December.  The contractor is continuing to work on the bridge understructure by installing the concrete diaphragms between the beams (Small wall connections).
  2. Construction of the retaining walls and bridge approaches on the east and west side of the bridge is currently being built.
  3. Between 242nd and 247th Ave. SE, traffic remains on the south side of the roadway. Work continues along the north half of the roadway in this area. The contractor is installing the concrete curb and sidewalk along the north side and median islands.  The contractor will also continue to work at the intersection of 247th Ave. SE near the middle school and 242nd Ave SE. During the week of September 28, the contractor will be finishing the current phase of placing asphalt along the north half of the site and at the intersection of 242nd, 247th, and Klahanie Drive and Issaquah Fall City Road, as well as the intersection of  SE 46th.  The work is weather dependent; sunny days next week should allow the asphalt pavement to be done.   There will be more construction traffic through the site as a result.

Please note that during peak delays, using the project detour route, Issaquah Beaver Lake Road to Issaquah Pine Lake Road, may result in shorter drive times. For more information and project updates, please visit the project portal on Connect Sammamish. Please remember to obey all the stop signs and speed limits in the area.

Daytime Project work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
