Pursuant to the Governor’s emergency Proclamation 20-25, the City is unable to provide an in-person location for the public to listen to the virtual City Council meetings. Meetings are still accessible to the public, and public comment is able to be submitted.

2020 Census

April 1 was Census Day in Sammamish and around the nation. Complete your census to make sure Sammamish counts!

For Sammamish transit riders who use routes that experienced service cuts (i.e., fewer hours and/or frequency of trips), there’s an interactive web tool listing specific trips cut for each route. If your route was cut on March 23, here are some alternate routes to consider

Cone Zone

 

These road work projects are scheduled in Sammamish for the week of April 3 - 10.

SCHEDULES MAY CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER AND/OR EQUIPMENT AVAILABILITY

Please Note: Usual limited work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. are suspended while local schools are out of session. Summer hours of 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. will apply until further notice.

4th Street: Sidewalks, Storm Drains, and Streetscaping

The contractor is currently working in multiple areas. In the new right-turn lane for eastbound traffic at the 228th Ave. SE intersection, this work will require a temporary lane closure southbound 228th Ave SE. Other active work includes irrigation installation and sidewalk paver block installation between 224th Ave. SE and 225th Place SE.  In the next few weeks, work will begin on installation of the center median islands, reconstruction of the 218th intersection, and the portion of 225th Place SE along SKY Apartments. Flaggers continue to manage traffic through the work zone. Typical work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

228th Catch Basin Repair

Work to repair the catch basins along the roadway will continue on 228th in the southbound direction starting near SE 8th and moving toward SE 24th. Traffic is reduced to one lane in the work location. Work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Issaquah-Fall City Road (IFCR)

  • The contractor will be working on the Samm Plat waterline between 242nd Ave. SE and 247th Ave. SE. There will be a one-lane closure and a uniformed police officer at the 247th intersection this Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
  • The temporary roundabout at SE Issaquah-Beaver Lake Rd./256th Ave. SE/SE 32nd St/E Beaver Lake Dr. SE is operational. The roundabout will remain open while curb, truck apron, paint lines, lighting, & pedestrian crossing work is completed.
  • When the concrete work is complete, work will begin on the new traffic circle at 247th and SE 45th Way. 
  • PSE Electric, Comcast, & Century Link are completing their removal and relocation of their services between 247th Ave SE and Klahanie Blvd.
  • Final preparation for paving along the south half of the roadway between 242nd and 247th Ave. SE continues.  Paving is anticipated to occur during the week of April 13th, after which the traffic will be shifted to the south half.
  • Please note that during peak delays, using the project detour route, Issaquah Beaver Lake Rd to Issaquah Pine Lake Road, may result in shorter drive times.

CLOSURE NOTICE:

Starting on Monday, April 13th, 2020, Issaquah Fall City Road will be closed for construction. 

  • During the week of April 13th through April 18, the road will be closed between 245th Lane SE and Klahanie Blvd for roadway grading and shifting of the roadway access in front of Pacific Cascade Middle School.
  • Local access will be maintained during the closure.
  • The section between 245th Lane SE and 247th Place SE will reopen by the end of the day on April 18th, weather permitting.
  • Starting on Monday, April 20th, the roadway closure will be between 247th Place SE and Klahanie Blvd. This closure is expected to last through December 2020.
