Should I report violations of Stay Home, Stay Healthy?

Concerned Sammamish residents have reached out to us regarding individuals or businesses potentially not complying with the Governor’s "Stay Home, Stay Healthy" order. While we do believe that the majority of Sammamish residents and businesses are complying with the order, we of course may encounter exceptions to the rule. Violations need not be reported to Code Compliance, the Sammamish Police Department, nor any other City entity, but residents may learn how to report to Public Health - Seattle & King County or to Washington State Department of health here.

Parks Updates

New measures are being taken to prevent any of our City parks from becoming destinations for large groups of people. While outdoor exercise is considered an essential activity under the Governor's most recent order, we urge people to stay in their homes as much as possible. If you do go outside, we recommend that residents walk in their neighborhoods and explore their closest parks, so that no one park becomes overcrowded.

Lifewire Domestic Violence Resources

With communities across the nation staying home to prevent the spread of COVID-19, a challenging byproduct is that victims of domestic violence are being trapped with their abusers. With the health crisis extending the contact between abusers, survivors, and their children for a much longer and intense duration, local and national organizations that serve domestic violence survivors are seeing an increase in calls. Like COVID-19, signs of domestic abuse are not always visible. If you need help, contact Lifewire at 800-827-8840 or 425-746-1940.

Storm Pipe Installation at Issaquah-Pine Lake Road and 35th St.

This project is currently on hold and is expected to occur on the week of April 6th at the earliest.

4th Street: Sidewalks, Storm Drains, and Streetscaping

The contractor is currently working in multiple areas: the new right-turn lane for eastbound traffic at the 228th Ave. SE intersection, sewer service installations on 225th Place and along SE 4th St., irrigation installation, and sidewalk paver block installation between 224th Ave. SE and 225th Place SE.  In the next few weeks, work will begin on installation of the center median islands, reconstruction of the 218th intersection, and the portion of 225th Place SE along SKY Apartments. Flaggers continue to manage traffic through the work zone. Typical work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

228th Catch Basin Repair

Work to repair the catch basins along the roadway will continue on 228th in the southbound direction starting near SE 8th and moving toward SE 24th. Traffic is reduced to one lane in the work location. Work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Issaquah-Fall City Road (IFCR)

  • The temporary roundabout at SE Issaquah-Beaver Lake Rd./256th Ave. SE/SE 32nd St/E Beaver Lake Dr. SE is operational. The roundabout will remain open while curb, truck apron, paint lines, lighting, & pedestrian crossing work is completed.
  • When the concrete work is complete, work will begin on the new traffic circle at 247th and SE 45th Way.
  • PSE Electric, Comcast, & Century Link will relocate existing poles and lines between 247th and Klahanie to allow the bridge construction to begin.
  • The new concrete student walkway and stairs leading up to the front entrance of Pacific Cascade Middle School are being built.
  • Drainage installation continues at and around 245th and 247th.
  • Please note that during peak delays, using the project detour route, Issaquah Beaver Lake Rd to Issaquah Pine Lake Road, may result in shorter drive times.

DATES

  • Estimated dates for the ROAD CLOSURE are April 13, 2020, to December 31, 2020, between 247th and Klahanie Blvd. only. Updates on the actual closure date will be posted ASAP.
