Cone Zone

These are the road work projects scheduled in Sammamish for the week of December 20 - 27.

SCHEDULES MAY CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER AND/OR EQUIPMENT AVAILABILITY

4th Street: Curbs and Gutters

The base layer of pavement has been placed over the whole road. The contractor will now be working on installing the median and intersection islands, streetscaping, and some remaining minor underground utility work. Flaggers continue to manage traffic through the work zone.

228th Catch Basin Repair

Work will continue on 228th between Discovery Elementary and Skyline High School to repair the catch basins along the roadway. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in the location of work. Work will be along the northbound direction.

UPDATE: Issaquah-Fall City Road

Weather permitting, there will be weekend work from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday 12/21 with flaggers in place. Crews are also expected to be working off the roadway Sunday 12/22.

The general contractor (GC) has begun work along the corridor. Clearing activities and underground utility work are the emphasis. Also note:

  • Please be prepared for additional delays as vital Utility relocations are currently impacting traffic (PSE Gas, PSE Electric, Comcast, Century Link).
  • Using the project detour route, Issaquah Beaver Lake Rd-Issaquah Pine Lake Road, may result in shorter drive times during periods of peak delay.
  • The Contractor will be clearing the NE corner of Klahanie Dr. SE and Issaquah-Fall City Road
  • Work continues on Pacific Cascade Middle School (PCMS) pond.
  • Klahanie neighborhood signs on the NW and NE corners of Klahanie Dr. SE and Issaquah-Fall City Road will be removed. (Replacement signs will be designed and installed by the Klahanie Homeowners' Association.)
  • The PCMS sign will be removed soon. A replacement design and location will be coordinated directly with PCMS and Issaquah School District.
  • Grading and drainage structure installation are among the next work items.

The GC will soon install a temporary roundabout at the intersection of SE 32nd / Issaquah Beaver Lake Road and 256th Ave. SE / East Beaver Lake Drive.

Expect additional traffic control for the next week along Issaquah-Fall City Road between 247th and 242nd. The Contractor will need to encroach towards the travel lanes to install a deep stormwater utility pipe.

Weekday work hours are 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. along Issaquah-Fall City Road.
