Good afternoon,

With the public engagement portion of our Urban Forest Management Plan project wrapping up, I want to thank all of you for participating in this important planning process. As we head toward writing the Plan - based on your input in the survey and at our Open Houses - I hope you'll continue to stay involved.

A few updates on the Project:

Check out our recently released StoryMap! The StoryMap will guide you through a number of interactive maps with lots of information about the City's canopy cover, forest health issues, City-owned urban forest assets, and more. It's a really nifty tool and I encourage you to spend some time checking it out.
You can also read the University of Washington's Land and Canopy Cover Analysis, which contains the technical background of the study.
The results of the UFMP Survey are now available for public view.
Tune in on July 9 when City staff and our consultants from the Davey Resource Group provide a project update to the City Council.
