Farrel McWhirter Farm Park News

We are expecting the birth of baby goats any day now. We also have a new mini-pig named “Bitsy.” Bitsy is the cutest little pig, often seen walking on a leash and visiting kids at play. Bitsy seems to enjoy it here at Farrel-McWhirter so we expect her to stay as a resident. The full-size momma pig, Dottie, will be back next month, hopefully bred and due to deliver late summer.

There is still room in some of our horse camps. Our new Intermediate level camp is designed for kids with any previous experience, as is our Teen Hoofbeat Camp, so sign up today!

The Farrel-McWhirter Schooling Show, scheduled for June 12th, has been postponed until July 10th due to the concerns about the recent outbreak of the highly contagious deadly equine virus EHV-1. While, for the most part, the incubation period has elapsed with no new cases reported, most owners are keeping their horses home. We also prefer to play it safe and look forward to having the Schooling Show in July; which means sunnier weather, right?
