Leaders Gather for Transportation Funding Announcement

U.S. Department of Transportation Deputy Secretary Polly Trottenberg visited Redmond last week. She was joined by Mayor Birney, Congresswoman DelBene, County Executive Constantine, and representatives from Sound Transit at the future Downtown Redmond light rail station. Trottenberg announced new low interest federal transit loans that will save Sound Transit about $500 million in borrowing cost and help accelerate expansion of the light rail system in our region.

Take Action to Protect the Environment

The City of Redmond has dedicated programs to reducing or eliminating pollution before it causes environmental harm. Still, our efforts are more successful when community members and business owners take action, too! In an accidental spill or incident where pollutants threaten environmental water quality, call Redmond’s Spill Hotline 425-556-2868.
