City Partners to Fund Business Needs
As part of Redmond’s COVID-19 Recovery Program, the City partnered with OneRedmond to distribute financial grants to businesses negatively affected by the pandemic. The grant was able to award funds to approximately 50% of the over 300 applications received. In addition, last week Governor Inslee announced a $15 million federal grant which will be used to provide aid to businesses impacted by the pandemic.
While Halloween activities can be outside and often include mask wearing, there are still some risks with COVID circulating. If you enjoy the spooky fun of Halloween, be sure to review these Public Health tips to prevent illness and help our community stay on track for reopening.
Council is scheduled to make a decision about the future of the Redmond Senior Center on October 22. Public comments can be sent in ahead of the Council meeting by emailing the City Clerk at cityclerk@redmond.gov.
Election Day is November 3, and Washington State mail-in ballots are beginning to be delivered this week. Voting is safe, secure, and accessible for eligible voters.
The City of Redmond’s preliminary 2021 – 2022 biennial budget is published at www.redmond.gov/Budget. Review the draft budget and send your comments or questions to bpquestions@redmond.gov. The community is invited to participate in two additional public hearings on October 20 and November 2.
