Stay Informed on COVID-19

Visit redmond.gov/COVID-19 for helpful resources, updates, recommendations, and status of City services. As COVID-19 cases in Washington State have continued to rise, Governor Inslee has extended the pause in the statewide Safe Start plan indefinitely.

Considering the ongoing risks of the pandemic, City of Redmond facilities will remain closed through the end of 2020. Redmond Police, Fire and other critical City services are fully operational. City staff are teleworking while facilities are closed. Changes to the Open Public Meetings and Public Records Request Acts have been extended to September 1.

So Bazaar is Going Virtual

The So Bazaar evening festival returns to Redmond as a Virtual Festival, Thursday, August 20, starting at 7:00 p.m., via Facebook Live at www.facebook.com/RedmondParks. The virtual event, themed Hindsight is 2020, will highlight culinary arts, dance, film, music, poetry, visual arts, and more.

Downtown Light Rail Station rendering

Preparation Begins on Downtown Light Rail Extension

Beginning this week, you’ll see crews working along eastbound SR 520 between NE 40th Street and West Lake Sammamish Parkway. This work will create a haul road in anticipation of clearing and grading the construction zone in the fall to extend light rail to Downtown Redmond.

Note 17-Day Closure of NE 40th Street

The SR 520 Trail Grade Separation Project will close NE 40th Street for 17-days, 24-hours a day from August 7 - 24 at the west side of the SR 520 on/off-ramps. This full closure will dramatically reduce the overall length of the construction project.
