A Message from Mayor Birney
In April, I shared with you the inaccuracies surrounding media reports related to the City's response to employees that tested positive for COVID-19 during the late-February and mid-April timeframe. In response to concerns from Council, staff, and volunteers, I authorized an external administrative investigation conducted by Jayne Freeman, attorney, at Keating, Bucklin, & McCormack, Inc.
I have received the final findings and to provide the Redmond community with continued transparency, I would like to share them with you.

The safety of the community and our employees continues to be at the forefront of all decisions made by the City during this ongoing and evolving pandemic. I will continue to keep the community, Council, and staff informed as we move through the Governor's phased approach and the City's Long-Term Disaster Recovery Plan.
