assistance of the Kirkland Fire Department. Firefighters responded to the 6001

smoke and flames in one of the units. The fire was quickly extinguished, and
there were no reported injuries.
The fire department was
called to the complex at 2:50 p.m. and the fire was fully extinguished around
3:20 p.m. Investigators are on the scene and working to determine the cause of
the fire. One apartment unit sustained heavy smoke, fire and some water damage
with no extension to the surrounding units.
This is the second fire
in the 6001 complex within the last 18 months. On June 11, 2016, firefighters
