Redmond, WADon’t miss Redmond’s urban art market, So Bazaar on Thursdays, August 13, 20, and 27! Experience a one of a kind market featuring award-winning contemporary art, artisans, live music, food trucks and drinks at Sip Bazaar.

So Bazaar offers an innovative marketplace to find unique art and artisan products, enjoy music, and experience contemporary art performances. With roots in the exciting street life throughout Asia, Redmond So Bazaar brings concerts, artist performances, artisan market, food and drink along the Redmond Central Connector located between 161st Ave NE and Leary Way.

‘We heard how much residents and visitors enjoyed So Bazaar last year that we are doubling the size of the market and opening earlier this year,” said Mayor John Marchione. “Redmond residents and visitors will have the opportunity to meet more artists, listen to more music, and sample a wider variety of food and drink”, he added.

The Redmond Central Connector will be transformed to an exciting, live art market from noon-9:30 pm. The market opens at noon with a new concert series called Picnic Performances that invite visitors to bring a bag lunch and enjoy the beautiful park. Visitors that stick around will have the opportunity to learn about the creative process of select market artists at Artist demonstrations that begin at 1:30 pm. Come back at 4 pm for Night Nosh featuring a variety of food trucks and Sip Bazaar featuring craft beer, wine, and nightly cocktails. Featured contemporary art and performances happen at dusk when Gansango Music and Dance and Lucia Neare’s Theatrical Wonders transport visitors to other worlds with their cutting edge art.

“There are a lot of summer art fairs, food truck festivals, and concert series throughout Seattle and the Eastside, said Lara Lockwood, Redmond Arts and Culture Commission Chair, but So Bazaar brings all of these cultural experiences together on one night, and then infuses that with stunning award winning contemporary art. And that is what makes So Bazaar special.”
