The Puget Sound Partnership Ecosystem Coordination Board will meet at Cornet Bay Retreat Center, 400 W Cornet Bay Rd, Oak Harbor, WA 98277 and online on Thursday, May 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
We’ll be providing an all-virtual livestream of this meeting, through TVW.

Meeting highlights include:
- A presentation and discussion about 2025 legislative session. Presentation by Don Gourlie, legislative policy director at the Puget Sound Partnership. Read more.
- A presentation and discussion about the Pay for Success initiative. Presentation by Larry Epstein, deputy director at the Puget Sound Partnership, and Ahren Stroming, special assistant for federal affairs at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation and discussion about Local and State Marine Shoreline regulatory protection and enforcement. Presentation by Kelly Still, deputy habitat program director at the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, Carolyn Chase, shoreline management compliance lead at the Washington State Department of Ecology, Matt Curtis, habitat program protection division manager at the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, and John Lanier, long range planner at Island County. - A forum with the Island Local Integrating Organization (LIO). The Island LIO will co-host a local forum about how to support and expand shoreline hard armoring compliance and enforcement efforts throughout Island County and Puget Sound. Forum participants include Jennifer Schmitz, natural resources manager at Island County, Commissioner Melanie Bacon from Island County, Matt Lurie, habitat program implementation strategy lead at the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, Kelly Still, deputy habitat program director at the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, Matt Curtis, habitat protection division manager at the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, Carolyn Chase, shoreline management compliance lead at the Washington State Department of Ecology, and Janet St. Clair, commissioner at Island County. - After the meeting, there will be a tour of Cornet Bay and Hoypus Point restoration sites. Ecosystem Coordination Board members in attendance will tour the local restoration sites. Tour conducted by Jennifer Schmitz, natural resources manager at Island County.

About the Ecosystem Coordination Board
The Ecosystem Coordination Board's main role is to advise the Puget Sound Partnership’s Leadership Council on carrying out its responsibilities, which includes supporting the development and implementation of the Action Agenda. The Board is made up of 30 members representing specific interests around the Sound.
