Now Live: The Salish Sea Marine and Shorebird Monitoring Directory

We’re delighted to share that the Salish Sea Marine and Shorebird Monitoring Directory is now live! This comprehensive resource serves as a one-stop hub for information on avian monitoring programs associated with marine, nearshore, and estuarine habitats across the U.S. and Canadian Salish Sea.

Developed through a collaborative effort by the PSEMP Marine Birds Work Group, the directory is a dynamic tool designed to enhance information sharing, support informed decision-making, and foster connections within the avian monitoring and research community.

The directory currently features 31 monitoring programs, detailing lead organizations, monitored taxa, monitoring methods, data availability, and much more. It’s thoughtfully organized to allow users to search by program name, organization, bird family, associated Vital Sign indicator, habitat type, or geographic location.

Are you curious about plovers on Vancouver Island? Looking to collaborate with sea duck monitoring programs in Hood Canal? Want to know more about monitoring efforts in estuaries? Start your search with the directory! It makes finding and connecting with monitoring programs easy.
