The Puget Sound Partnership Ecosystem Coordination Board will meet online on Thursday, August 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and then 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 pm.

Meeting highlights include:
Morning session:
- A presentation and discussion about the June 25 Equity Advisory Group training. Board members will hear a recap on learnings from Ecosystem Coordination Board members and Partnership staff who participated in the training. Board members will then discuss next steps for the ECB to implement diversity, equity, and inclusion in their work and begin to center environmental justice in policy, planning, and implementation of the Puget Sound recovery effort. Presentation by Julia Watson, chair of the Ecosystem Coordination Board.
Afternoon session:
- A presentation and discussion about the Strategic Funding Program. Partnership staff will present an update on the work of the Strategic Funding Team (SFT), including an overview of the funding barriers framework and the SFT's decision to begin addressing the issues of match requirements and multiple application demands. Ecosystem Coordination Board members will then have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback. Presentation by Jennifer Grimm, strategic funding manager the Puget Sound Partnership, and Jessica Reynolds, funding barriers strategist at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation and discussion about 2025 legislative session plans and priorities. Staff will share an early list of topics and ideas for attention during the 2025 legislative session and will seek Ecosystem Coordination Board input to add and refine the list. Presentation by Don Gourlie, legislative policy director at the Puget Sound Partnership.

The Ecosystem Coordination Board's main role is to advise the Puget Sound Partnership’s Leadership Council on carrying out its responsibilities, which includes supporting the development and implementation of the Action Agenda. The Board is made up of 30 members representing specific interests around the Sound.
