Upcoming Request for Proposals on Best Management Practice Installations for Toxic Chemicals in Hotspots and Transportation Areas
The Stormwater Strategic Initiative Lead (SIL), led by the Washington Departments of Ecology and Commerce, and the Washington University Stormwater Center, is proud to announce a new competitive funding opportunity coming March 15, 2024. Selection criteria will align with the 2023 Investment Plan priorities and the Implementation Strategy, and this opportunity will be targeting projects that innovate or test best management practices (BMPs) in toxic hotspots and transportation areas for the removal of 6PPD, 6PPDQ, or PCBs, and potentially other contaminants, from Puget Sound watersheds.
The funding opportunity will award up to $1.5 million in total and will fund up to $500,000 per proposal through the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Puget Sound Geographic Program Funds.
