The Puget Sound Partnership Ecosystem Coordination Board will meet online on Thursday, February 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Meeting highlights include:
- A presentation and discussion about the 2023 Washington state legislative session and recent federal policy and the PUGET SOS Act. Partnership staff will provide an update about the 2023 Washington state legislative session and a review of federal actions for Puget Sound recovery in the National Defense Authorization Act and omnibus appropriations package. Ecosystem Coordination Board members will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss policies in play. Presentation by Don Gourlie, legislative policy director at the Puget Sound Partnership, and Ahren Stroming, special assistant for federal affairs at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation and discussion about the implementation of the 2022-2026 Action Agenda. This session will include a review of the role of the Ecosystem Coordination Board in supporting implementation of the 2022-2026 Action Agenda and a discussion about key issues and promoting dialogue among board members. Presentation by Julie Watson, chair of the Ecosystem Coordination Board, and Jillian Reitz, boards policy advisor at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation and decision about the Ecosystem Coordination Board's proposed 2023 work plan. The Ecosystem Coordination Board will consider proposed work plan priorities and decide whether to adopt the plan. Presentation by Ecosystem Coordination Board executive committee members and Jillian Reitz, boards policy advisor at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation and discussion about the Estuary and Salmon Restoration Program's 2023-2025 program request and the Shore Friendly program. This session will include an overview of the Estuary and Salmon Restoration Program (ESRP), a review of its investment plan, a discussion of the Shore Friendly program and connections between ESRP and the Ecosystem Coordination Board's priorities. Presentation by Jay Krienitz, ESRP program manager at the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Tish Conway-Cranos, nearshore science manager at the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife.
- A presentation and discussion about coordination between the Ecosystem Coordination Board and the Puget Sound Partnership Science Panel. This session will include a discussion about the Science Panel's work priorities and opportunities for coordination with the Ecosystem Coordination Board. Presentation by Julie Watson, chair of the Ecosystem Coordination Board, and John Stein, chair of the Science Panel.

The Ecosystem Coordination Board's main role is to advise the Puget Sound Partnership’s Leadership Council on carrying out its responsibilities. The Board is made up of 27 members representing specific interests around the Sound.
