The Puget Sound Salmon Recovery Council will meet online on Thursday, Jan. 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Meeting highlights include:
- A presentation and discussion about investment priorities. This session will include a discussion of investment priorities with an intention to develop a common understanding of the Salmon Recovery Council's thinking, efforts, and recent decisions to prioritize Puget Sound Acquisition and Restoration (PSAR) funding. Presentation by Alison Agness, PSAR program manager at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation and discussion about PSAR cost analysis and potential policy implications. This session will include a discussion of findings and recommendations from a report titled "PSAR Cost Analysis," prepared by Greene Economics. At its March and May meetings, the Salmon Recovery Council discussed the unprecedented level of cost increase requests for use of the PSAR return funds. Presentation by Alison Agness, PSAR program manager at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation and discussion about the 2023 Washington state legislative session. This session will include an update from the Salmon Recovery Council's legislative committee about their work, and council members will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss policies in play. Presentation by Don Gourlie, legislative policy director at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation and discussion about the Legacy Projects Portfolio. The intent of the Legacy Projects Portfolio is to develop a list of large-scale salmon habitat protection and restoration projects where the scale of funding needs exceeds funding typically available from state grants. This session will include feedback from the Salmon Recovery Council on the updated Legacy Projects Portfolio and recommendations for future work supporting the list of projects and associated funding strategies. Presentation by Melissa Speeg, salmon recovery manager at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation and decision about the Salmon Recovery Council's 2023 work plan. This session will include a review of the proposed 2023 work plan and a decision about whether to adopt the proposed work plan. Presentation by Jillian Reitz, boards policy advisor at the Puget Sound Partnership.
