The Puget Sound Partnership Leadership Council will meet on Thursday, December 9, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the December 9 Leadership Council meeting will be a virtual Zoom meeting for all participants and the public.

Meeting highlights include:
- A presentation for discussion about the status of the Southern Resident Orca Task Force recommendations. This session will include discussion about the progress that's been made in addressing the recommendations, successes, and how continued support can help implement recommendations and contribute to the recovery of the Southern Resident orcas. Presentation by Todd Hass, special assistant to the director at the Puget Sound Partnership, Tara Galuska, orca recovery coordinator for the Governor's Salmon Recovery Office, Erik Neatherlin, director of the Governor's Salmon Recovery Office, Julie Watson, killer whale policy lead for the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Derek Day, Stormwater Strategic Initiative lead, Washington State Department of Ecology.
- A presentation for decision about legislative and budget priorities for the 2022 Washington State legislative session. This session will include a presentation of the Partnership staff's ranking of 2022 supplemental budget requests, Project Olga legislative recommendations, input received from boards and advisory groups, and an update about the federal infrastructure bill. Presentation by Don Gourlie, legislative policy director at the Puget Sound Partnership, Jay Manning, chair of the Leadership Council, and Peter Murchie, program manager, EPA Geographic Programs Section.
- A presentation for decision about Puget Sound Vital Sign indicator targets. Over the least six months, Partnership staff and partners have developed targets for six Vital Sign indicators as part of the target-setting strategy approved by the Leadership Council in April 2021. This session will include discussion of four draft Vital Sign indicator targets. Presentation by Kirsten Feifel, adaptive systems manager at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation for decision about the draft 2023-2025 Puget Sound Acquisition and Restoration (PSAR) Large Capital request for proposals. This session will include a presentation on the draft 2023-2025 PSAR Large Capital request for proposals and a decision by the Leadership Council on whether to approve the draft. Presentation by Amber Moore, salmon recovery manager at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation about the Puget Sound Federal Task Force Action Plan. This session will include a presentation on the Puget Sound Federal Task Force 2017-2021 Progress Report and discussion and questions from the Leadership Council. Presentation by Peter Murchie, program manager, EPA Geographic Programs Section.
- A presentation for discussion about the Puget Sound Future Scenarios Project, which is developing exploratory scenarios to assess strategies and plan for the future of Puget Sound. This session will include an update on progress in the Puget Sound Future Scenarios Project and a request for input from Leadership Council members on strategies or policy choices that should be reflected in the project. Presentation by Scott Redman, Science and Evaluation program director at the Puget Sound Partnership, and Bob Ewing, member of the Puget Sound Partnership's Science Panel.
