Note: February 15 is the first cutoff of the session, by which time bills must be passed out of committee in their house of origin. After that cutoff, many bills will be referred to the House Appropriations Committee and Senate Ways and Means Committee for public hearings on the fiscal impact of bills. The bills to be scheduled for hearings on February 16-19 are not yet determined and therefore the hearings not included in the below schedule. Please check the committee schedules next week for bills that may get scheduled for hearings.

 


MONDAY, FEBRUARY 15

House Environment & Energy - 1:30 PM               

Possible Executive Session: HB 1446 - Prohibiting a utility from being assessed a penalty for not meeting its biennial acquisition target for cost-effective conservation in special circumstances outside the utility's control.

Public Hearing: HJR 4205 - Adding a new section to the Washington state Constitution regarding the conservation and protection of the state's natural resources. (Remote testimony.)
