SOUTHERN RESIDENT ORCA TASK FORCE TO MEET OCT. 17-18, IN TACOMA
Governor Inslee's Southern Resident Orca Task Force will meet in Tacoma at the Landmark Convention Center (47 St. Helens Ave) on the following dates:
- Wednesday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thursday, October 18, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
When available, the agenda will be posted on the Task Force website.
If its schedule allows, TVW, Washington’s public affairs network, will broadcast the plenary portions of the meeting. The broadcast will be available afterward in the TVW archives. Please check the TVW website for more information.
Public comment opportunities
Both days of the meeting are open to the public, and all are welcome to provide comment and learn about the effort to recover Southern Resident orcas. Because so many people have expressed interest in commenting, in person, to the Task Force, the Task Force has set aside the evening of Wednesday, October 17, from 5 to 8 p.m, for this purpose. Information about the sign-in and comment process will be provided beforehand. In addition, public comment continues to be accepted in writing, online.
Those who would like to attend the meeting and require special accommodation should contact Jennifer Goodenough: email jennifer.goodenough@psp.wa.gov; desk phone 360-628-0050; TTY 1-800-833-6388.
