Puget Sound Partnership Washington sent this bulletin at 09/19/2018 02:11 PM PDTFrom the co-chairs of the Governor's Southern Resident Orca Task Force
Please join us on October 9 for a panel discussion via webinar to address questions from members of the Governor's Southern Resident Orca Task Force related to salmon, changing ocean conditions, and ocean acidification.
[Note that there is one more webinar on the Lower Snake River dams scheduled for Sept. 27 from 3:00-5:00 pm. Details forthcoming.]
The following panelists will participate in the salmon, changing ocean conditions, and ocean acidification discussion:
- Dr. Brian Burke, Supervisory Research Fishery Biologist, NOAA Fisheries
- Dr. Chase Williams, Postdoctoral Researcher, University of Washington
Task Force and working group members are encouraged to participate and ask questions, but no deliberations will take place, and no actions will be taken. The goal of the webinar is for Task Force and working group members to better understand this topic and help members formulate their perspectives about the potential orca recovery actions involving climate change.
The public is welcome to listen to the webinar, which will be recorded for later viewing.
