Leadership Council to hear updates on legislative priorities for 2019
The Puget Sound Partnership's Leadership Council will meet on Thursday, September
13, from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Brickworks, 150 Nichols St, Friday
Harbor, WA.
Meeting highlights include:
An update on the Puget Sound Partnership’s
legislative priorities for the 2019 legislative session.
An update on the Puget Sound Acquisition and
Restoration (PSAR) fund. The PSAR fund supports projects that recover salmon and protect
and recover salmon habitat in Puget Sound. The state legislature appropriates
money for PSAR every 2 years in the Capital Budget.
An update fromthethree working groups of the Governor’s Southern ResidentOrca TaskForce. The working groups are addressing thethree main threats tosouthernresident orcas:vessel disturbance, prey availability, and contaminants.
