GOVERNOR'S SOUTHERN RESIDENT ORCA TASK FORCE TO MEET TUESDAY IN ANACORTES
The next meeting of the Southern Resident Orca Task Force is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28, at The Swinomish Casino and Lodge, 12885 Casino Drive, Anacortes.
Meeting highlights will include:
- Discussions on potential actions and draft recommendations.
- The co-chairs will be available to the news media from 12:05 to 12:20.
- Public comment will be taken from 4:30 to 5:30. People may also submit their comments electronically
The full agenda will be posted on the Task Force Website. This meeting is open to the public and will provide opportunities to learn about the effort to recover southern resident orcas.
TVW, Washington’s public affairs network, currently plans to broadcast the plenary proceedings live online. After the meeting, the broadcast will be available in the TVW archives. Please check the TVW website for more information.
