Governor’s Southern Resident Orca Task Force will meet Tuesday in Wenatchee 

The next meeting of the Southern Resident Killer Whale Recovery Task Force is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 7), at The Confluence Technology Center, 285 Technology Center Way, Wenatchee. Directions to the venue are available at https://ncwctc.com/contact-map/directions/.

Meeting highlights will include:

  • Discussions on potential actions and draft recommendations
  • Sound the Alarm for Orcas: The Orca Salmon Alliance will present Stephanie Solien and Les Purce with 43,000 signatures of support for orca recovery. The co-chairs will be available for media questions immediately following the presentation. 

The Task Force meeting is in Wenatchee to engage Eastern Washington residents in the state- and region-wide recovery effort.  

When available, the full agenda will be posted on the Task Force Website. This meeting is open to the public and will provide opportunities to learn about the effort to recover Southern Resident orcas. Time for public comment will be provided.
