Leadership Council to consider vision for Puget Sound recovery beyond 2020
Puget Sound Partnership’s Leadership Council will meet June 12, in Shoreline
The Puget Sound Partnership’s Leadership Council will meet on
Tuesday, June 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at North City Water District,
1519 NE 177th Street, in Shoreline.
Meeting highlights include:
A presentation and discussion about a proposed
vision statement and guiding principles for Puget Sound recovery beyond 2020.
A presentation and discussion on National
Estuary Program funding, which supports high-priority recovery investments
called for in the Puget Sound Action Agenda.
A presentation on the ways in which the City of
Shoreline is planning for future population growth while also reducing
greenhouse gas emissions, minimizing harmful impacts of stormwater on waterways,
and promoting access to light-rail stations.
The Leadership Council will also hear a very brief update on
activities to date of the Governor’s Southern Resident Orca Recovery Task

This meeting is open to the public and
all are welcome to provide comment and learn about the regional effort to
restore and protect Puget Sound.
