Science Panel to discuss Puget Sound ecosystem research and monitoring
Puget Sound Partnership Science Panel will meet October 19, in Seattle
The Puget Sound Partnership’s Science Panel will meet on Thursday,
October 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the University of Washington’s
Applied Physics Lab,Henderson
Hall, 1013 NE 40th Street, Seattle.
Meeting highlights include:
A discussion on the development of the research
and monitoring elements of Implementation Strategies. These are the plans for
achieving the ecosystem recovery targets for the 2020 Vital Signs, helping to
direct work toward the highest priority actions.
A presentation on the Estuary and Salmon
Restoration Program, which funds process-based ecosystem restoration and
protection projects in the Puget Sound nearshore.
A presentation and discussion on Puget Sound
Vital Signs related to economic vitality. These Vital Signs help describe how a
healthy Puget Sound contributes to the quality of life for Puget Sound
residents.
