NEW sessions added to Annual Training on August 6!
In response to participant demand, OSPI has added four additional hot-topic sessions to the August 6 schedule.

- Not So General Areas of the School Meal Programs
- Learning the Smart Snacks in Schools Standards

Registration Information
Training is free to attend; however, participants must pay for meals, parking, and any overnight stays. All attendees will receive a laminated Menu Builder Tool with updated Meal Pattern Charts, Smart Snacks Reference Charts, Exhibit A, and more!

Preparing for Your Reviews – Join us live from Annual Training as we review both the Administrative Review (AR) and Procurement Review (PR) processes, including what documents will be requested, the timeline of review events, and who to contact with questions. Attendees should leave this session feeling more confident and with a series of tips and tricks to prepare for successful reviews.

Processing Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit (CNEEB) Applications – Invite your approving official to join us as we review tools and rules for processing CNEEB applications this school year!

Verification of Applications – Invite your verification official to start off the verification season with a review of the verification process, resources, and timelines.

Basics of Operating the School Meal Programs for Food Service - This full day training is designed for individuals in a food service director or menu planner role. We will focus on the basics of operating a successful school meal program, including meal pattern, menu planning, using your USDA Foods, and implementing an accurate point-of-service meal counting system. This is a hands-on, interactive session that provides opportunities to network and share best practices.

Resource Management: Tools & Rules for Managing Program Finances - Join us as we review USDA's Resource Management areas and explore tools to assist with compliance, including the Paid Lunch Equity and Non-Program Food Revenue tools. We will also dive into basic financial reports and metrics for decision-making to support the financial health of your operation.
