Novice Training K-5 Educators and 6-12 Educators

Eighty-four percent of parents want personal finance taught in their children’s schools. The majority of teachers want to know how they can find time to teach personal finance. It turns out that there are award winning, easy to follow personal finance lessons that can be used to teach across content areas like ELA, Mathematics, and the Arts which will result in parental gratitude for teaching these vital life skills.  Parents and educators love this material—so do students. Over 90% of teachers who teach just one personal finance lesson end up integrating more of the lessons into their classes because their students respond so positively to the material.

This training is for educators who are new to financial education. We’ll explore lessons that can easily be integrated directly into classrooms, no modifications necessary. The best part, participants will receive the entire lesson set free of charge (including lessons for grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12).  Additionally, participants will receive companion activities to share with friends and families (in both English and Spanish).

We are able to provide this training at no charge to you, and the materials are yours to adopt at no cost to your district, thanks to the generous donations of FEPPP and FEPPP partners, particularly Department of Financial Institutions, who recognize the importance of bring personal finance to our students.
