Are you interested in learning how to integrate computer science into your classroom? Would you like to earn free college credits? Do you need STEM clock hours? Are you interested in earning a computer science credential?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, we might have the information you’re looking for! City University, ESD 112, University of Washington, and Western Washington University are currently looking for educators to participate in professional learning focused on computer science. Participants will earn free or reduced cost clock hours or credits, gain valuable knowledge about computer science instruction, and be better prepared to equip students with the skills needed to thrive in a workplace of the future.
Course: Intro to Cyber (City University)
CityU's vision is to integrate computer science, cybersecurity, and technology into all K-12 teacher preparation to ensure Washington students realize their full potential in the workforce of tomorrow.

Learning format: Virtual, synchronous learning.

Cost: Free. Educators will also receive a $20 stipend per class attended

Elementary computer science specialty endorsement pilot (ESD 112)
Join us in a flexible program that will be immediately useful in your classroom, and emerge with a portfolio proving your competence in teaching integrated computer science at the elementary level.

Computer science endorsement (University of Washington)
This program offers a computer science endorsement for certificated teachers. This dual-endorsement structure not only makes you a competitive candidate for teaching positions, but equips you to teach both standalone computer science courses, as well as integrate computer science into other subject areas that you teach.

Learning format: Synchronous, virtual classes Monday through Thursday, 4:30 - 6:20 p.m. throughout the spring, with the potential of one day in-person per week

Western Washington University
Whether you are an experienced computer science teacher or want to start teaching it, this workshop is for you! Come learn about computer science education methods, covering a range of topics from creating an inclusive computer science classroom to an introduction to robotics - all while making connections with other computer science teachers in Washington.
