For the 2022–2023 school year, applications for federal funding (all Title programs) will be handled via one common application in the new Education Grant Management System (EGMS). This will replace our form packages (FP) 232 and 231.
OSPI is looking for district volunteers to participate in testing the application process before the system goes live in spring 2022. If you are the person responsible for completing either FP 232 or FP 231 and are able to volunteer, please contact Sue Connolly or Shannon Martin We appreciate your willingness to help!
Our department at OSPI is changing its name! We are now the Multilingual Education Program which aligns with the asset-based language that we are using for the students we serve–our multilingual learners. A team from ESD 121 has developed this excellent resource, “Labels or Limitations? Recommendations for Asset-Based Language for Multilingual Learners,” that you can use if you are trying to make changes in your district towards asset-based language. Please feel free to use this with stakeholders in your district!
Please join us on December 2. The Multilingual Education team will share information with Q & A and check-in time during the second half hour.
Resources: Slides and recording from the Information Session on November 4.
For previous resources please go to the Multilingual Education Workshops and Webinar website.
