These Language Learning Regional Networks (LLRN) are launching in the coming week(s):
LLRNs are designed for district-level leaders (administrators, specialist, teachers) who work with multilingual learner programs to collaborate and engage in professional learning and discussions on use of WIDA resources, assessments and program development with regional colleagues.
Please reach out to your Bilingual Program Supervisor for more information. We hope you will “LLRN” with us!
CEDARS Reporting Guidance for 2021-22 has been updated and released. Information on the English Learners File (J) can be found starting on page 108. There are minimal but important changes to this file:
- Element J18 (Placement Test Code) has been updated to include WIDA Screener
- Element J23 (Overall Placement Test Score) Data for element J23 will be sent to CEDARS in the spring.
At this point in time, it is NOT possible to report WIDA Screener scores to CEDARS. Districts should work with their student information system vendors to track the data from the WIDA Screener in your system. Attempting to upload data in element J23 will result in rejection of the entire CEDARS submission.
Please contact the Student Information team at AskSI@k12.wa.us for questions or assistance.
