The Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB) is looking for individuals within Washington’s education community to serve as grant application reviewers. We encourage individuals who have experience in one or more of the following areas to sign up:
- P-12 education, such as classified and certificated educators, administrators, district human resources staff, and others
- Educator preparation, credentialing, or professional development
- Collaborating with, supporting, serving, or engaging diverse communities
One way we continue strengthening and diversifying the educator workforce is by offering grants to innovate and pilot initiatives across Washington. We need your diverse backgrounds, expertise, and unique perspectives to inform this work and build a more equitable education system.
We may invite reviewers for grant applications in the following areas:
- Advancing equity programs
- Alternative routes programs
- Bilingual Educators Initiative
- Professional learning
- Recruiting Washington Teachers
- Other content areas
If you would like to volunteer as a future grant reviewer, please complete this form. When grant review opportunities come up, we will contact interested individuals to confirm participation, as well as provide grant details and share more about the review process. We offer substitute reimbursements for district staff who qualify.
We encourage you to share this with others in your community or professional networks who might be interested.
Contact us at pathways@k12.wa.us if you have questions.
