WEBINAR FOR DISTRICTS SUPPORTING STUDENT TEACHERS DURING COVID-19

Communities all across the state are currently experiencing unprecedented challenges in the education system due to the outbreak of COVID-19. We have worked diligently to provide guidance and resources to help educators, districts, and preparation programs navigate new developments as they emerge. See our COVID-19 resources.

In an effort to provide further clarity and support, we will be hosting a webinar focused on how school districts can best prepare and support student teachers and other educator candidates.

The webinar will take place on Monday, April 13, at 11 a.m. Register to attend. For those unable to attend, the webinar will be recorded and posted to our YouTube

Who should attend?

While this webinar is open to all, the intended audience is school district staff who are engaged in supporting student teachers, and the district systems for those student teachers.

What will be presented?

  • Preparing for educator candidates: partnering with preparation programs, and how to request a temporary interim clearance when fingerprinting is not available.
  • Student teaching: flexibility in student teaching arrangements and supporting student teachers completing the edTPA in a virtual learning environment.
  • The emergency certificate: what it means for districts, candidates, and preparation programs.
