In collaboration with the Institute of Child Nutrition (ICN), OSPI is offering free full-day CACFP meal pattern trainings around the state this spring and summer.
What will we be learning?
This hands-on training features updated requirements for serving meals and snacks to participants, as outlined in the latest CACFP meal patterns. Participants will explore the updates to the child and adult meal patterns, as well as tips and strategies for implementation.
Each full-day training is scheduled from 8:00am to 4:00pm (approximately).

All institutions participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) are required to attend annual training. Completion of annual training is required for continued participation in CACFP. At a minimum, the person responsible for oversight of the CACFP must attend. This training is intended for directors and administrators.
Does your organization sponsor a Child Care Program?
We will be hosting this year’s training for Child Care programs in a “mini-conference” style with multiple one-hour sessions being offered throughout the day, but on each side of the state!
Planned training sessions will include a variety of topics appropriate for both new and seasoned staff. We are also looking into offering STARS credit for some or all of the trainings provided.
