In October 2018, the USDA released SFSP 01-2019 Summer Food Service Program Memoranda Rescission. To support our Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) sponsors, OSPI CNS will be requesting the following waivers for summer 2020:
- Continued waiver of first week monitoring visit requirement for NSLP sponsors, CACFP sponsors, school food authorities, and returning SFSP sites in good standing;
- Continued extension of Offer Versus Serve meal service style to all sponsors of the SFSP;
- Continued waiver of regulations establishing meal time requirements (i.e. duration of meal times and duration elapsed between meal times);
- Extend area eligibility to closed enrolled sites.
