Part-Time Assessment Update

Earlier this school year, OSPI initiated a proposal to modify ALE part-time assessment language. Based on the feedback received, we do not believe the proposed modification would achieve the desired results. Therefore, OSPI has declined to continue this rule change in its current form at this time. You can find more information about this proposal and outcome on our website under rule updates.

Full-Day Kindergarten Update

Thank you to all ALE programs who participated in providing survey information, general feedback, workgroup participation, and site visits as part of the Full-Day Kindergarten (FDK) information gathering process. The workgroup, which included members from the field, finalized draft language and the CR 102 will be filed to initiate the next phase of the rule making process in early March. For more information on the draft rules and to participate in the public comment period, please visit the OSPI Rule Making website
