The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is soliciting contractors interested in joining the WSDOT Small Works Roster*. Requirements include completion of at least three projects successfully as either a prime or a subcontractor. Learn more and apply for prequalification here.

Yakima County Development Association (YCDA)’s Business Accelerator Program is designed to help small businesses grow and succeed through interactive workshops, and valuable resources. Plus, businesses that participate in the Accelerator Program and complete at least 5 hours of professional development through YCDA workshops or partner events will be entered into a random drawing for a scholarship of up to $5,000!
- To qualify for the scholarship drawing, businesses must:
Be the owner of a business that has operated for two or more years in Yakima County
- Have 30 or fewer employees

Hanford Small Business Council (HSBC) and the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce present the18th Annual Bridging Partnerships Small Business Symposium.
Attendees can anticipate an enriching experience where professionals from both small and large businesses will converge, fostering connections, gaining valuable insights, and cultivating relationships. Guest speakers including DOE officials and local industry leaders will present concepts important to small business development; past topics have included “How to Write a Winning Proposal” and “DOE Strategic Sourcing Agreements”.
The overarching goal is to pave the way for increased procurement and diverse business opportunities for small and large enterprises.

AgWest Farm Credit is accepting applications for the New Producer Grant program. The grant provides $15,000 in start-up funds to successful applicants and the deadline to apply is May 31, 2025.
This program is designed to help motivated producers get started in agriculture. The grant provides $15,000 in start-up funds to successful applicants to support their agricultural ventures.

Eligibility criteria:
- Be a full- or part-time agriculturalist with two years or less of operational experience or have plans to start an operation within two years of the grant application date.
- Have an operation located within AgWest Farm Credit’s territory.
- Not be a current AgWest lending customer.
- Must be 18 years of age and either a U.S. citizen or a foreign national lawfully admitted for permanent residency or pursuant to certain visas.
Application requirements:
- Prepare a business plan, cash flow budget, application and a one-page essay describing how the grant will help achieve operational goals.

- English and Spanish resources are available to assist with completing the application components.
