ashley olson joins us as our new Director of Workforce Development, coming from Employment Security Department where she most recently served as the Business Operations Manager for the Employment Connections Division. She chose OMWBE because she experienced as a teen and early adult the impact that a small business can have on the wellbeing of a family. Beyond that, the mission and values of the organization couldn’t more perfectly align with her personal and professional passions.
ashley was raised in rural Western Wisconsin where she completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at University of Wisconsin System schools. ashley moved to Wenatchee, WA in 2014 and fell in love with the mild winters and the outdoor recreation opportunities.
ashley is passionate about social and organizational change work and is excited to be focused inward on our staff so that they are able deliver on our justice focused mission to create and implement programs that provide maximum opportunity for participation of businesses owned by minorities, women, and other under-represented communities in public contracting.
