On May 20, 2020, Brett Jonah Hart became the first African American to head a major airline when chosen President of United Airlines. The company is one of the largest in the world with over 4,900 flights a day to 362 airports across the globe.
Hart joined the company in 2010 - previously working as the airline's Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. As president, he oversees business-critical functions including the COVID-19 global pandemic and its impact on the travel industry.
