Community Letter - ON/ OFF - LEASH DOGS IN MEDINA PARK

Dear Community,
A reminder of the City of Medina's Ordinance No. 990 which states the rules regarding on/off-leash dogs in Medina Park. To obtain a copy of the ordinance, please contact City Clerk Aimee Kellerman at akellerman@medina-wa.gov.
On-Leash Area
The area to the west of the dividing line shown the map (see back) is an on-leash area. All dogs in this area must be on a leash, tether, or chain not to exceed eight feet in length.
Off-Leash Area
The area east of the dividing line shown on the map (see back) is an off-leash area. Dogs in the off-leash area must be within positive voice control of their owner or handler and must respond promptly to the commands of the owner or handler.
Also, please remember, no one can have more than two dogs in the park at any time. And that dogs are not permitted in the ponds.
“Violations of these rules will constitute a Class 1 Civil Infraction with a current maximum penalty of $250.00 (RCW 7.80.120).)”
